Next-Gen Protection app: Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Next-Gen Protection mobile app (the "App") for iOS and Android handles information. The App is published by Alliance Group, LLC and its affiliate Living Benefit Solutions, LLC ("Alliance Group", "we", "us"). It is a companion to the book Next-Gen Protection: Living Benefits & the Future of Life Insurance.

This policy covers the App only. Our websites are covered by the Alliance Group Privacy Notice.

1. Information we collect

We do not collect personal information through the App. There is no sign-up, login, contact form, analytics, advertising SDK or crash-reporting service in the App.

2. Camera

The Scanner feature uses your device camera to recognize pages of the printed book and play the matching video on top of the page (augmented reality). Camera images are processed only on your device, in real time. They are never recorded, saved or sent to us or anyone else. You can allow or deny camera access at any time in your device settings. The rest of the App works without it.

The augmented-reality technology references some other device features (such as location, microphone or photos) in its code. The App does not request or use these.

3. Information stored on your device

To remember your place, the App saves your reading and listening progress (for example, the chapter and position you reached) and whether you have seen the introduction screens. This information stays on your device, is not sent to us, and is deleted when you uninstall the App.

4. Videos and third-party services

The book and audiobook are included in the App. Videos are streamed from Vimeo. When you play a video, your device connects to Vimeo's servers, which receive standard technical information such as your IP address and device type in order to deliver the video. Vimeo handles that information under its own privacy policy. Some features may open links to external websites, which are governed by their own policies.

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Apple and Google may collect information about downloads and app usage under their own privacy policies. We do not receive personal information from them through the App.

5. How we use and share information

Because the App does not collect personal information, we do not use, sell, rent or share personal information from the App for any purpose, including advertising.

6. Security

The App communicates only over encrypted connections (HTTPS).

7. Children

The App is intended for adults interested in life insurance and financial protection. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Your choices

• You can turn camera access on or off in your device settings.
• You can delete all information the App stores by uninstalling it.
• Because we hold no personal information from the App, there is nothing to access, correct or delete on our side. You are still welcome to contact us with any request.

9. Changes to this policy

If the App's data practices change, we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date before the change takes effect.
